Highlights from the Sky Bet League Two clash between Exeter City and AFC Wimbledon

AFC Wimbledon picked up their first win in eight attempts as they were 2-0 victors at Exeter.

The Dons had not won since October 31 but were good value for their success against the injury-hit Grecians.

Despite a good start by Exeter it was Wimbledon who went in front when Barry Fuller swung a fine cross into the box and Tom Elliott planted an emphatic header beyond goalkeeper Bobby Olejnik.

It was 2-0 on the half-hour as a long ball forward bounced over the Exeter defence and Lyle Taylor found himself in acres of space. He lifted the ball over Olejnik and into the net from 15 yards.

Tom Nichols missed Exeter's best two chances - poking wide from a poor back pass and seeing James Shea superbly save his free-kick - but in truth, they struggled to get in behind a well-drilled Dons backline.

Substitute Clinton Morrison turned well and shot against a post late in the game for Exeter, who have now lost three league games in a row, while Wimbledon were happy to play out time and move above their hosts in the League Two table.
