Exeter boss Paul Tisdale may recall experienced striker Marcus Stewart for the trip to relegation rivals Tranmere Rovers.
Stewart was introduced as a 64th-minute replacement for recalled Barry Corr in Monday's 1-1 draw at Swindon.
Corr and on-loan Rotherham striker Ryan Taylor, who made his full debut for the Grecians, were chosen to start at Swindon as Tisdale rotated his strikers with Stewart and Stuart Fleetwood making way.
Taylor could keep his place after an impressive first start but former Ipswich, Sunderland and Yeovil striker Stewart's experience could be invaluable as City face another six-pointer.
Richard Logan - who has recovered from a recent hamstring injury - replaced Taylor in the 88th minute but will have to settle for a place on the bench.
City wait on the fitness of veteran utility player Rob Edwards, ruled out of the last three games by a hamstring injury as they aim to extend their unbeaten to 10 games.
