Eusebio Di Franceso has confirmed that he is set to take the managerial reins at Serie A outfit Lecce.
The former Roma player is due in Milan on Friday to put the finishing touches to the deal.
The 41-year-old, who took charge of Serie B outfit Pescara last season, is set to pen a two-year contract.
"The Lecce directors instantly made me feel important," said Di Francesco.
"They asked Pescara for permission to talk to me and offered me a contract, as well as an interesting project for the future.
Important
"I couldn't say no to Serie A and the club have asked me to keep the team in the top flight.
"Lecce is an important place where you can play football at high levels."
Di Franceso has never coached in the top flight before, having cut his managerial teeth with third division Virtus Lanciano.
He will be replaced at Pescara by experienced Czech Zdenek Zeman.
