Di Francesco under pressure after loss to Napoli

Lecce head coach Eusebio Di Francesco is to discover over the next couple of days whether he will be given more time to turn the team's fortunes around. Di Francesco only took charge of Lecce over the summer after the Apulia-based club narrowly avoided relegation from the top flight last term. However, Lecce have struggled this season and slipped to a third straight defeat on Saturday as they went down 4-2 to Napoli. The result left Lecce at the bottom of Serie A and three points adrift of safety, with general manager Renato Cipollini ready to make a decision on Di Francesco's future. Cipollini remains convinced that Lecce can stay up this season but wants to do what is right for the club and feels the time has come to discuss a change of coach. "We will take 24 or 48 hours to examine the situation, without acting emotionally after this loss," Cipollini told the club's official website. "It is necessary to reflect and try to understand which problems we can solve to get survival, which, despite everything, is still possible."
