Feyenoord back on track

NEC Nijmegen climbed to seventh with a win over Sparta Rotterdam, while Feyenoord beat Roda JC. Saidi Ntibazonkiza set NEC Nijmegen on their way to a 2-0 victory against Sparta Rotterdam with the opening goal after 20 minutes. Youssef El Akchaoui then netted from the penalty spot four minutes into the second half as NEC stayed in touch with the leading pack. The score was still goalless at half-time but Feyenoord found some form after the break as all four goals arrived in the space of 18 minutes. Georginio Wijnaldum opened the scoring in the 52nd minute before Leroy Fer (56), Roy Makaay (66) and Diego Biseswar (70) also hit the target. Struggling Vitesse Arnhem's recent resurgence continued as they beat ADO Den Haag 3-1 for a second consecutive win. Ricky van Wolfswinkel struck in the first minute for Vitesse but Lex Immes equalised after 18 minutes. Santi Kolk restored Vitesse's advantage with a penalty four minutes before half-time and Niklas Tarvajarvi added a third on 90 minutes. Bottom club FC Volendam picked up their first win of the campaign as they defeated De Graafschap 3-1 to move up to four points. Melvin Platje's goal in the 37th minute was cancelled out by Cerezo Fung-a-Wing on the stroke of half-time but Jasck Tuyp made it 2-1 to Volendam six minutes from time and Dominique van Dijk netted two minutes later. Utrecht rose into the top half of the table as goals from Ali Boussaboun (61) and Cedric van der Gun (90) gave them a 2-0 victory over Heracles Almelo.
