We look back at the top five highlights for Chelsea fans during the last 12 months.
Gunners are hit for six
Chelsea hit city rivals Arsenal for six when the two old foes met in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge in March.
However, it was the incorrect sending-off by referee Andre Mariner of Gunners left-back Kieran Gibbs, rather than midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, that made all the headlines the following day!
Demba at the Death
Chelsea had to rely on an 87th-minute goal by back-up striker Demba Ba to see them through to the semi-finals of the Champions League at the expense of Paris Saint-Germain in April.
The west London club had lost the first leg of their last-eight tie 3-1 in the French capital, only for a dramatic 2-0 victory at Stamford Bridge to send the Blues though at the expense of the French champions.
Home is no longer where Mou's heart is
In April, relegation-threatened Sunderland caused a mammoth upset when beating championship-chasing Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge, a result that all but ended Jose Mourinho and Co’s title hopes.
And not only that, but the Blues’ loss was also their first at home in the league under the Portuguese’s management, a run stretching back an incredible 78 games.
Star duo's summer arrival at the Bridge
Chelsea coach Jose Mourinho got his summer transfer business out of the way early, with the ‘Special One’ tying up big-money deals for both Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas and Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa even before the World Cup had got under way.
And once again the Portuguese’s eye for a player has proven to be spot on with the duo having shone for the club so far in this campaign.
Former favourites leave their mark
Veteran Chelsea striker Didier Drogba scored his first goal on his comeback to Stamford Bridge in a 6-0 win against Maribor in the Champions League in October.
However, a month earlier the Blues had experienced a far more painful moment involving a former fans’ favourite when club-record goalscorer Frank Lampard netted a late equaliser to hand Manchester City what could turn out to be a crucial 1-1 draw at Eastlands.
