We take a look at all the drama and key incidents, on and off the pitch, on day six of the World Cup
Every day during the World Cup, Sky Sports will take a detailed look at all the drama and key incidents in South Africa.
Shock of the Day (and the tournament): What a performance from Switzerland in their stunning 1-0 success against Spain in Durban.
They defended brilliantly against the European champions, who had plenty of the ball but could not find a way through a Swiss side that were organised outstandingly by German coach Ottmar Hitzfeld.
Spain started with David Villa on his own up front in a 4-3-3 but soon turned to a rusty-looking Fernando Torres after conceding - expect both of those to start against Honduras next Monday in a game they surely have to win to reach the last 16.
Disappointment of the Day: It's got to be the Bafana Bafana for their pretty lame display against Uruguay. At 1-0 down with 20 minutes to go they were still playing with one up front and never really looked like grabbing an equaliser. It says something when the vuvuzelas were drowned out by boos when Alvaro Pereira grabbed Uruguay's third in injury-time.
Question of the Day: At England's press conference reporter Gabriel Clarke came out with a real gem to striker Wayne Rooney.
"What motivates you Wayne?" asked Clarke. Rooney answered: "Winning the World Cup!"
What a marvellous prompt into the thinking of England's talisman from ITV's roving reporter.
Rooney was then asked about Germany's performance in their 4-0 win over Australia and what he thought about Mesut Ozil's display.
Rooney said: "He took his goal well."
He didn't Wayne, he didn't even score!
I think all press conferences should be axed.
Save of the Day: Honduras keeper Noel Valladares produced a magnificent save to stop Chile's Waldo Ponce making it 2-0. A deep free-kick from the left was headed back into the six-yard box where Ponce looked a certain scorer, but Valladares - with cat-like reactions - flung himself to his right to repel the header. Best save of the tournament so far.
Final Thoughts: At last we had some major excitement as the Swiss rolled over pre-tournament favourites Spain in a huge shock, while defeat for South Africa means the hosts now face a massive task to reach the last 16. Chile, meanwhile, looked one of the better passing sides in the tournament and could be one to watch.
But as for who has impressed me most so far, now that all the teams have played, well it has to be the Germans. They were very clinical against Australia, although I also liked what I saw of Argentina, in patches, against Nigeria. Still a long way to go though and England will hopefully give the nation a lift against Algeria on Friday night.
