St Johnstone have signed centre-half Plamen Krachunov until the end of the season.
The Bulgarian has joined the Perth side, who are currently fifth in the Scottish Premiership, after a trial at McDiarmid Park last week.
Krachunov, 27, last played with Slavia Sofia in his home country and could feature against Partick Thistle on Tuesday if international clearance comes through.
"I'm delighted to get him. He is an experienced defender who is very strong, quick and is a good passer of the ball," manager Tommy Wright told the club's website.
"He came in on trial and did very well in training. He was due to spend another couple of days on trial but by the weekend we'd made our minds up on him and so we got in touch with his advisors to bring him on board. He's someone I believe can play a part between now and the end of the season."
Krachunov added: "This move has made me very happy because it's my first move to a club outside of Bulgaria, and I hope with the help of the lads we can achieve great things this season.
"My first impressions of the club are really positive. I believe I have come to a great place to play for a very good team which over the last few years has been one of the top teams in Scotland. St Johnstone are a team who have qualified for Europe in the last four seasons and I will do what I can to help them qualify again."
