St Johnstone have reacted angrily to reports linking manager Derek McInnes with Dundee United.
The Terrors are on the lookout for a new manager after Craig Levein replaced George Burley as Scotland boss.
McInnes has already been touted as a possible replacement for Levein at Tannadice.
However, Saints chairman Geoff Brown is unhappy with the talk - stating the club are not looking to lose their manager.
Unwanted
"We don't want any of this conjecture," explained Brown.
"We are not in the business of selling our managers and there's no way we are giving them away.
"Derek is working hard to make sure we have a successful season."
