Peschisolido delighted to secure striker's future
Burton Albion striker Greg Pearson has signed a new two-year contract to the delight of manager Paul Peschisolido.
Pearson has scored 13 goals this season following Burton's promotion to the Football League, but has only been available to the club on a part-time basis due to his university studies.
He held talks regarding a new deal last month and Peschisolido expects the 25-year-old to play a more prominent role next season after signing the extension.
"I am delighted to finally agree a two-year deal with Greg Pearson," Peschisolido told the club's
official website.
"The demands on his education commitment will be reduced for the new season therefore he'll be even more committed to training.
"He already has a superb goal to game ratio and I'm confident that with increased training we will see this improve.
"Signing Greg is the first phase of my overall plan to secure our top players to ensure success and future progress for the new season."
