Romain Vincelot put Coventry City 2-1 ahead at Burton Albion but should the goal have stood?

Coventry defender Aaron Martin scored a controversial winner against Burton Albion to send his side into second place in League One.

The 25-year-old inadvertently gave the hosts the lead with a 10th-minute own goal but it was his second goal of the afternoon that proved the main talking point of the match.

With the game level at 1-1, Martin found himself on the end of a Jacob Murphy cross to roll the ball over the line.

Replays showed he was onside when he nudged the ball towards goal but Romain Vincelot, who was offside, then appears to get the final touch on it.
