Ibrahimovic silences boo-boys in Milan derby

Zlatan Ibrahimovic ignored the boos to give AC Milan a deserved 1-0 win over former side Inter Milan and send the Rossoneri back top of the table after they had been overtaken by Lazio earlier on Sunday. Ibrahimovic's fifth minute penalty settled a feisty derby after the Swede was recklessly fouled by Inter defender Marco Materazzi. Ignazio Abate's second-half dismissal failed to derail Milan's victory charge and they now have a six-point advantage over fifth-placed Inter, who continue to struggle under Rafa Benitez. Lazio had previously returned to the top of Serie A with a 2-0 victory over Napoli at the Stadio Olimpico. Lazio had lost their two previous encounters, including a derby defeat to Roma, but they bounced back to winning ways with Mauro Zarate in imperious form. Zarate put Lazio ahead just 15 minutes in, before he set up the second for Sergio Floccari on the hour. Palermo find themselves in seventh after a 3-1 win over Catania. Argentine starlet Javier Pastore was in brilliant form for the Sicilian side as he grabbed a hat-trick. Pastore opened the scoring on the half-hour before Christian Terlizzi made it 1-1 just after the break. Pastore restored their lead just a minute later before wrapping up his treble five minutes from time. Udinese climbed into eighth as they thrashed Lecce 4-0 at the Stade Friuli. The hero for Zebrette was Antonio Di Natale, who claimed a hat-trick before Antonio Floro added the fourth just 10 minutes into the second half. Lecce squandered a chance to grab a consolation late on as Andrea Rispoli missed a penalty. Bari remain adrift at the foot of the table as they lost 1-0 at home to Parma, on a miserable day that saw them miss a penalty and also have two men sent-off. Antonio Candreva gave Parma the lead on 33 minutes, but on the stroke of half-time Bari missed the chance to level when Alessandro Parisi fluffed his lines from the penalty spot. Sampdoria drew 0-0 with Chievo, while Genoa picked up a 1-0 win at Cagliari thanks to Cagliari Andrea Ranocchia's 83rd minute goal, and Bologna defeated Brescia 1-0 as Marco Di Vaio scored in the 58th minute.
