Uncertainty continues to surround the future of Papiss Demba Cisse after the Freiburg striker's latest claim that he is a transfer target of other clubs and wants to leave.
Tottenham and Sunderland have both been linked with the Senegal international after he scored 22 goals last season and he has already found the back of the net four times this campaign.
Cisse said in July that he could benefit from staying in the Bundesliga, but the 26-year-old has since expressed an interest in a move to the Premier League.
Bundesliga rivals Wolfsburg and Schalke have also been credited with an interest and the player himself has now stated that he wants to leave Freiburg.
He told
SWR: "I want to leave. Yes, I have a contract but I want to test myself at another level.
"Some clubs are in for me and some calls have been made."
Freiburg chairman Fritz Keller, safe in the knowledge Cisse is under contract until 2014, was relaxed when quizzed about the striker's future.
He said: "We are totally calm. The player is just doing a little advertising! That's fine. As long as he is still scoring goals for us then all is well."
