Ivory Coast have sacked their manager Vahid Halilhodzic just three months before the World Cup in South Africa.
Halilhodzic was dismissed as a result of The Elephants poor African Cup of Nations performance in Angola last month.
Considered favourites to lift the trophy by many, Ivory Coast were knocked out at the quarter-final stage after succumbing to Algeria 3-2 after extra-time.
Ivorian president Jacques Anouma announced late on Saturday that a new head coach would be named in the next few days.
Halilhodzic took over from Uli Stielike two years ago after the German could only guide the side to a fourth place finish at the African Cup of Nations in 2007.
The new boss will face a tough task to even qualify from the group stages in South Africa with Brazil, Portugal and North Korea making up Group G.
