Former England boss acknowledges threat from group rivals

Ivory Coast coach Sven-Goran Eriksson believes group rivals North Korea could be dark horses at the World Cup finals. The former England boss believes his side will face tough opposition in Group G, where they will take on Kim Jong-Hun's team as well as Brazil and Portugal. And Eriksson has particular concerns over North Korea, who he believes could cause a surprise upset in the South Africa tournament. "Pay attention to North Korea," said Eriksson. "Nobody speaks about North Korea but they play good football. "Physically they are better than anyone because they have been in the training camp for six months.

Crucial

"I think we are going to have three very difficult games, and we have to be very organised." Part of the Ivory Coast team have already arrived at their training camp in Switzerland, while the rest, including captain Didier Drogba, will join them on Monday. Eriksson insists Chelsea striker Drogba is crucial to his side's hopes, pointing to the multitude of goals the forward has landed this season. "Every team going to the World Cup has one or two players who are match-winners. For us it's Drogba, yes," he added. "He scored over 30 goals this season, and doing that in the Premier League and Champions League. That's absolutely incredible. We want him very fit in the World Cup."
