United States skipper Michael Bradley has been named the 2015 US Soccer Federation Male Player of the Year.
The 28-year-old central midfielder won the award for the first time after captaining Toronto FC to the Major League Soccer play-offs for the first time in their history.
He also earned his 100th cap for the United States this year, becoming the fourth youngest player to do so.
Bradley, who was the Young Male Player of the Year in 2007, received 43 per cent of the votes, followed by Borussia Monchengladbach's Fabian Johnson (33 per cent) and Seattle Sounders' Clint Dempsey (20 per cent).
"It's an honour to be selected amongst this group of players," Bradley said.
"This has been a challenging year for our team, yet we continue to understand how important it is that we give everything we have every time we step on the field.
"That's what means the most to me, and at the same time I certainly appreciate this recognition."
Bradley, the son of former US national team coach Bob Bradley, spent 1,668 minutes on the pitch for the USA this year and notched a career-best six assists and scored three goals, as well as claiming man-of-the-match honours in away victories over the Netherlands and Germany.
