Meet former Liverpool and Aston Villa star Ray Houghton

Former Liverpool and Aston Villa star Ray Houghton is in The Fantasy Football Club studio this week - and you can be a part of the show.

Houghton enjoyed great success as part of the richly successful Liverpool side in the late 80's winning two league titles and two FA Cups.

The likable midfielder also won the League Cup in his first season at Oxford United and enjoyed spells playing for Fulham, Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Stevenage.

He is perhaps best remembered among football fans for his exploits with Republic of Ireland.

Houghton was capped 73 times for his country and had a habit of scoring important goals at major tournaments, netting winners in 1-0 wins over England at the 1988 European Championships and against Italy at the 1994 World Cup.
