Glasgow City suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Paris St Germain in the UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-finals.

The Scottish champions must now overturn a two-goal deficit in the second leg in the French capital next Saturday if they are to reach the semi-finals of the tournament.

Anissa Lahmari opened the scoring for the visitors on 19 minutes from Laure Boulleau’s cut-back.

City goalkeeper Lee Alexander denied PSG a quick second goal when she kept out Marie-Laure Delie before Fiona Brown forced a save at the other end.

Kheira Hamraoui doubled the lead seven minutes into the second half when she side-footed over Alexander from the edge of the box following a well-worked corner.

However, Alexander saved Linda Bresonik’s powerful shot to deny PSG a third goal and keep City’s hope’s alive next week in the Parc Des Princes.
