Hoops boss impressed by his side's performance

Neil Lennon reiterated his desire to keep the impressive Beram Kayal at Celtic next season following their 4-1 win against Dundee United. The Israeli international capped off an impressive performance with a scintillating long-range strike at Parkhead. After the game, Lennon spoke of the importance of not just keeping Kayal but also Emilio Izaguirre and Daniel Majstorovic. The victory moved Celtic moved back to within one point of Rangers at the top of the SPL.

Fantastic

And Lennon told Sky Sports: "I think you've seen today what he (Kayal) can bring to the team. "He, Izaguirre, Majstorovic and Brown, I thought they were fantastic today. Really top draw performances from four or five of them. "We've got goals in the team as well, which is very pleasing." Gary Hooper's close-range strike after 23 minutes gave Lennon's side the interval lead and second-half goals from Kayal, Kris Commons and substitute Daryl Murphy sealed the win despite Johnny Russell's consolation for the Taysiders.
Performances
Lennon added: "I thought it could have been more than four, comfortably. "There were some great performances from some individual players but the team as a whole was superb. "We are possibly disappointed with the goal we conceded. "But Daryl scored a great fourth goal and no-one deserves it more than him. We've got goals in the team." The Hoops could go top of the table on Wednesday when they travel to Inverness for their game in hand over Rangers.
