Eden Hazard has suffered an injury scare in training ahead of Belgium's Euro 2016 opener against Italy on Monday.

The Belgium captain was forced out of Friday's behind-closed-doors session with a foot injury.

Hazard cut short the session after his foot was stood on, but the Chelsea forward is expected to be fit to lead his country against Italy in Lyon on Monday.

"I don't think it is serious, just a knock," said coach Marc Wilmots after the match between his expected starting XI and the reserves.

Wilmots said all players were fit, including defender Thomas Vermaelen, who had been doubtful earlier in the week.

"Thomas has done well in training over the last days and is completely ready for the battle. He has no more problems," Wilmots said.
