Port Vale defender Remi Streete is battling to prove his fitness for the visit of AFC Wimbledon in Sky Bet League One.

The 22-year-old was forced off in the first half of last weekend's draw with MK Dons due to a hamstring injury but has responded well to treatment.

New signing Andre Bikey, who replaced Streete, is again on hand to fill in but still lacks match fitness after a long period without action.

On-loan winger Olamide Shodipo is back from international duty but the Valiants still have a lengthy injury list with Anthony De Freitas, Callum Guy, Jerome Thomas and Kjell Knops out.

Wimbledon will be without striker Tyrone Barnett for the trip to Vale Park.

Barnett suffered a hip injury in the 3-1 victory against Rochdale on Tuesday.

Elsewhere, Jonathan Meades is pushing for a start after shaking off a recurring ankle injury.
