Dance Off history

Ahead of this year's showdown, take a look back at Soccer AM's Dance Offs of recent years.

Ahead of the 2013 Soccer AM Dance Off, which takes place on Saturday January 12, we take a look back at the last eight editions for lots of laughs on the dance floor...

2012

Winner: Trev
Track: Nero - Crush On You Twelve months ago, Tubes took to the dance floor as the favourite with the bookmakers, but it was the 2008 winner who ended up claiming the top prize. In his final Dance Off appearance, Trev collected the trophy from John Barnes, seeing off competition from Baby Elvis in second and Tubes in third.

2011

Winner: Raj
Track: Duck Sauce - Barbra Streisand In one of the biggest shocks in Dance Off history, little known work experience kid Raj became the 2011 winner. The youngest member of the crew stormed to victory ahead of Trev in second and defending champ - and bookies' favourite - Lisa in third. He looked stunned as he received the trophy from Peter Schmeichel!

2010

Winner: Lisa
Track: Duck Sauce - aNYway 2010 will always be known as the year of the bum wiggle. Despite being the only female participant in the competition, Lisa, stormed to victory with a move that has gone down in Dance Off folklore. Ashley claimed second spot in his debut competition, while Tubes maintained his good record with a third-placed finish.

2009

Winner: Rocket
Track: Herve Feat Plastic Little - Cheap Thrills Rocket's domination of the Dance Off continued as he claimed his fourth title - but courted controversy with his use of "novelty dancing" that took him close to the edge in terms of the rules. Baby Elvis was ranked third, with Lisa claiming second place following a blast of her famous bum wiggle. The hours of preparation (and the use of heelies) clearly paid off for Rocket...

2008

Winner: Trev
Track: Fedde Le Grand and Ida Corr - Let Me Think About It Strictly Come Dancing queen Alesha Dixon was our special guest for the 2008 competition and there was plenty of girl power on show as Lisa became our first ever female entrant. However, the winner was 33/1 outsider Trev, who claimed the first of his two titles ahead of body-popping James in third and reigning champion Rocket in second.

2007

Winner: Rocket
Track: Fedde Le Grand - Put Your Hands Up For Detroit Rocket made it a hat-trick of Dance Off victories with a landslide triumph in 2007. He polled more than half of the viewer votes (many of which he attributes to his mum) thanks to some extremely fancy footwork. Tubes picked up a respectable third-placed finish, while The Tramp Robbie Knox was voted into second.

2006

Winner: Baby Elvis
Track: Culture Beat - Mr Vain Since the day he was born, Baby Elvis had dreamed of winning the Dance Off and those dreams came true in January 2006 when some quick feet, a little bit of robot and a delightful pink sweater saw him defeat all-comers to take his first - and to date only - Dance Off Trophy.

2005

Winner: Rocket
Track: 2 Unlimited - No Limit It's fair to say that Rocket dominated the Dance Off in the noughties and the 2003 champion stormed to victory for a second time in 2005, largely thanks to the break dancing thrown in mid-way through his routine. Look out for the shirt-ripping antics of a very fresh-faced Fenners as well...
