Rob Wotton with Tony Gale and Peter Taylor on the Morning View

Sky Sports News HQ's Rob Wotton takes us through an action-packed week on the Morning View in his weekly blog.

Another week and another array of footballing folk heroes have dropped into The Morning View. Six former England players, one ex-England Manager and a man who’s taken charge of teams in the top three divisions of English football have all joined the debate these past weekday mornings. Ref rage, away goals and managerial sackings were top of the agenda. But let’s start with…

PROBLEM OF THE WEEK.

Ronaldo’s non-celebration of Gareth Bale’s goal at the weekend sparked the debate on Monday morning. How does Carlo Ancelotti cope with those egos in the Real Madrid dressing room? REF JUSTICE OF THE WEEK

FA Chairman Greg Dyke sparked one of THE hot topics this week with his comments about the increased incidents of players surrounding the referee. The amount of teams warned about their behaviour has more than doubled in the past four years. While those actually charged with offences has risen significantly. Rob Lee and Paul Walsh sought a solution for the problem.

Peter Taylor and John Salako took up the gauntlet on Thursday. The previous night, Fulham’s Ross McCormack confronted the referee during the home defeat to Leeds. Peter Taylor thinks it’s not just down to the football authorities and the referee to crack down. He believes the manager has to take responsibility too.
