Midfielder Dominic Peitz has left Augsburg for German third division Karlsruher for an undisclosed fee.
The 27-year-old has signed a contract until the summer of 2015 at Karlsruher after being told he was surplus to requirements at top-flight Augsburg.
Peitz had been on loan at Hansa Rostock in Bundesliga 2 all the way through last season and has now exited Augsburg on a permanent basis.
Augsburg general manager Manfred Paula told
Augsburger Allgemeine Zeitung Newspaper: "Dominic Peitz has joined Karlsruher. He has signed a contract with the club."
Karlsruher general manager Oliver Kreuzer told
Bild: "Dominic Peitz has joined Karlsruher. Our interest in his service was long standing and also known publicly.
"He has skills that will be a true benefit for our club. He showed this at various other clubs in the past."
