REID WATCHING ALEX ACE
SUNDERLAND are keen to snap-up Crewe forward Colin Little.
Former Notts County manager Sam Allardyce revealed that Peter Reid, a former Burnden Park team mate of Allardyce has asked him to do some scouting work for the North Eastern club.
Allardyce said:`I went to see Crewe yesterday - scouting for Reidy. He rang me and said `if you want to do something this weekend, go to see Crewe for me.`
Little is 26 and signed from Unibond League Hyde United four seasons ago and has scored five times for Dario Gradi`s side so far this season, although he didn`t add to his tally as Crewe slumped to a 2-1 defeat against Stockport.
Crewe also look likely to lose their highly rated right back David Wright with Middlesbrough and Blackburn Rovers leading the race to sign him.
