SPARKY SIGNS NEW SAINTS DEAL
MARK HUGHES has signed a new contract with Southampton worth a reported £1 million but insists it won`t affect his role as Wales manager according to the Daily Star.
The 36-year-old former Manchester United striker refutes claims that he will not be able to perform both jobs saying: "There`s no one better placed to do the job.
"People have asked how I`m going to keep tabs on potential Wales players if I`m still playing. The answer`s simple I`ll be closer to them than anyone."
Hughes` club manager Dave Jones also sees nothing wrong with the player performing both jobs saying: "If there was a problem, I`m sure Mark would let us know or we would let him know."
