ESPEN WANTS OUT

TOTTENHAM`S out-in-the-cold keeper Espen Baardsen has revealed that he wants a move out of White Hart Lane - either on loan or on a permanent basis.

The Norwegian international will be in the spotlight when he plays in the Under-21 play-off tie against Spain on Saturday and this will be rare for somebody who has been on the bench for exactly one year.

Baardsen has reacted to the news that first choice Ian Walker is engaged in contract negotiations by saying: "Ian is in discussions with the club and, therefore, I want to be sold or loaned out to another club. But it is not that easy."

There is always the question of finance and there needs to be the prospect of first team football for the California-raised keeper and he added: "I think I will be stuck on the Spurs bench until the end of the season."
