PLEAT DENIES RUMOURS

TOTTENHAM`S Director of Football David Pleat has dismissed much of the weekend speculation concerning the North London outfit.

Pleat claims there is "nothing" in the link with Fabrizio Ravanelli, contrary to what Marseille`s Rolland Courbis has stated, and it now appears more likely that `The White Feather` will head back to Italy.

Rumours suggesting Leeds are trying to sign Darren Anderton, Bayern Munich want Steffen Iversen and that Mohammed Kallon of Reggina is a Spurs target have all been flatly denied by the former Luton Town boss.

However, Pleat has confirmed that Spurs are "looking at" Colchester whizz-kid Tresor Lomano `Lua-Lua` and that he is aware of several promising young players at Queens Park Rangers. As regards Espen Baardsen, Pleat said: "We are mindful of getting him some first team football" and it is probable that the Norwegian will move out on loan.
