YORK EYE ALCIDE
YORK CITY are close to completing the signing of Hull City striker Colin Alcide while frontman Rodney Rowe is set to move to Gillingham.
The deal should be completed in time for Alcide to face Shrewsbury in Tuesday`s Nationwide Division Two fixture.
The Club`s PR officer Sophie McGill commented: "We are trying to sign the deal, but nothing has been finalised. A fee has been agreed, and we are just to agree personal terms. Rodney Rowe`s move to Gillingham is also nearly done, with just personal terms to agree too."
Alcide will be the ninth player to play upfront at Bootham Crescent this season as Neil Thompson struggles to find the formula to propel the Minstermen up the Third division table.
