ANDERTON BACK IN TRAINING

TOTTENHAM manager George Graham has been boosted by the news that Darren Anderton has finally been given the go-ahead to begin training.

The England international, nicknamed `Sick Note` due to his injury proneness, played four games this season before injuring his ankle.

Now after surgery the Spurs midfielder, who is free to leave under the Bosman Ruling in the summer, has begun light training though Graham insisted his first team will not be imminent.

"Darren is back in training again which is good news," the White Hart Lane boss said.

"He has only just started training so he is still some way off playing, but he is a naturally fit lad which helps.

"I have said all along that we can challenge for things when we have all of our best players available, so getting Darren back will be good for the team."

Elsewhere, Spurs £2 million summer signing Willem Korsten may return to the Spurs line-up shortly.

The Dutchman, who Tottenham controversially pipped Leeds to signing in the summer, has also been out with an ankle injury but has been training with the reserves for three weeks and should return to the first team squad soon.
