LIVERPOOL centre back Sami Hyypia has been named Carling Player of the Month for November.
The 26-year-old Finn, signed from Willem II for £2.6 million in the summer, has formed an impressive pairing with Swiss star Stephane Henchoz that saw The Reds only leak two goals last month.
Houllier has been so impressed with Hyypia that he handed the towering star the captaincy against West Ham at Upton Park last weekend.
Young Anfield keeper Ian Dunbavin has moved to fellow Premiership side Bradford on trial. The 19-year-old will spend a week training with The Bantams in the hope of earning a contract with the Yorkshire-based club.
