AEK SET FOR DOUBLE SWOOP?

AEK ATHENS could be set to make a double swoop for Nikos Dabizas and Theo Zagorakis in a bid to take them back their homeland.

Zagorakis, the captain of the Greek national side, has not started a Premiership game for Leicester City this season, despite making a total of 20 starts in all competitions last term, leading to speculation that he is looking to resurrect his career away from Filbert Street.

Newcastle`s Dabizas (pictured) is also thought to be interesting AEK coach Ljubisa Tubakovic. The defender has been a prominent figure in the Magpies` back four this season and has scored two goals in his total of 16 appearances.

It would be unlikely that Dabizas, who is also a current international, would be tempted by the proposition of a move to one of the top Greek sides after he recently admitted that he wants to stay at St James` Park "for life".
