CITY BET ON BLACK
BRISTOL CITY have signed Tommy Black on loan from Premiership side Arsenal with the right-winger going straight into the team for Friday night`s encounter with Wycombe Wanderers.
The youngster played his part in The Gunners` reserves` 7-0 annihilation of Crystal Palace in midweek when he was watched in action by City`s number two Lindsay Parsons.
Black said on his arrival at Ashton Gate: "They rang me up to see if I could come down and I had to go down to the training ground to pick up my boots from the security guard. It`s been a bit quick for me!"
"I`m only 20 and I`ve had one appearance against Middlesbrough in the Worthington Cup but nothing really to write home about. I`ve been used as a forward a lot in the reserves but I prefer playing on the right" he told ClubCall.
Another Arsenal youngster, Brian McGovern, could be joining Colchester United in a similar month`s loan deal.Adam Marshall
