INTER THE FREY?

INTER MILAN have been left to decide whether to cash in young goalkeeper Sebastien Frey, currently on loan at Verona, by accepting a planned multi-million pound bid from Lazio.

Inter boss Marcello Lippi is said to be keen to take the talented Frenchman back to the San Siro next season but would find it difficult to reject an offer believed to be around £10.5 million.

Frey, a France Under-21 international, is reportedly keen to move to a club where he is guaranteed a first-team berth - a role he can not expect at Inter with Angelo Peruzzi the regular keeper.

Frey has played 15 times for Verona this season during his loan spell and has impressed many of the top Serie A clubs with his composure between the posts.

Lele Oriali, Massimo Moratti`s techincal operations chief denied that any firm bid had been made saying: " we have not received an offer for Frey. At the end of the season he will be returning to Inter. Then, and only then will we way up all of the possibilities.

"It is important that they he continues to do well as he is still very young, he has already demonstrated his potential and ability at this level and I am sure that he still has wide margins of improvement."
