Orient had not won at home since September before the weekend but followed up Saturday`s victory by racing into a 2-0 lead through Wim Walschaerts and Steve Watts after 33 minutes.

Exeter can feel aggrieved as Paul Buckle had had a goal disallowed in the early stages but it was Buckle who replied for the Devonshire club with a fantastic free-kick that flew into the top corner with two minutes to go in the first-half.

Matt Lockwood thundered in a third for Orient with 20 minutes to go with a fantastic strike from 25 yards and Tony Richards beat the offside trap to finish the scoring seven minutes before the end.

Mansfield battled to a 1-0 win over York in the wind and snow swept North.

Andy Roscoe scored the only goal after 57 minutes, as The Stags emerged from four games in 11 days with 10 points. Alistair Asher`s cross got caught up in the wind and with the keeper advancing to narrow the angle Roscoe had the simplest of tasks to nod the ball home.

Darrell Clarke and Chris Greenacre both came close to extending Mansfield`s lead as The Stags moved into contention for a Third Division play-off place.
