CHELSEA WRIGHT FOR RICHARD?

CHELSEA have agreed a £5 million deal to bring Ipswich keeper Richard Wright to Stamford Bridge in the summer, according to reports in the Daily Express on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old shot-stopper has been linked with numerous clubs over the last few seasons but Ipswich have been unwilling to let him go as they have set their sights on promotion to the Premiership.

With the former England international having just a year remaining on his contract with Town at the end of the season, the East Anglian outfit may be prepared to cash in on their prize-asset.

The fee would represent a record for a keeper involving English clubs beating the £4.5 million Manchester United paid for Massimo Taibi last September.
