WENGER: NO-ONE REFUSES FOWLER
Liverpool now boast four top-quality strikers with Michael Owen, Titi Camara and Fowler, and although Kop chief Gerard Houllier says he has no plans to let any of the above leave the club, Fowler is expected to play second fiddle to Heskey and Owen, and will obviously not like it.
Fowler, who has missed virtually all the season thus far with an ankle injury, signed a new deal last year and was made vice-captain at the start of the season. But if Fowler has to sit on the bench for the majority of games next season, he is likely to review his options.
Wenger has made no secret of his desire to bring another striker to Highbury next season and has been linked with a move for PSV Eindhoven`s Ruud van Nistelrooy.
But, with the Dutchman expected to join Chelsea if he comes to the Premiership next season, Fowler will surely be high on Wenger`s shopping list.
Wenger said: "Liverpool must have planned to have four strikers next season, or sell someone.
"I don`t think they can sell Fowler at the moment, but if he is fit, no-one refuses Fowler"
Fowler is, reportedly, also a a target of Leeds United.
