LARSSON IN BREAK DOWN SCARE
HENRIK LARSSON has been ruled out of a shock CIS Insurance Cup final comeback after taking a knock in Celtic’s Under-21 match with Hearts.
The Swedish striker, who has been out with a broken leg since October, went off after 36 minutes of Thursday’s at Airdrie’s Shyberry Excelsior Stadium and admitted he was probably rushing a comeback in a bid to be fit in time for Sweden’s Euro 2000 campaign in June.
Larsson came off worst after attempting to tackle Hearts’ Stevie Fulton and the damage to his left shin after failing to win the ball was enough to force him to limp out of the action.
