DUBERRY CHARGED
Team-mates Lee Bowyer and Jonathon Woodgate were also quizzed by the police after an Asian youth was assaulted in January. The England duo have been released, on bail, until April 4th, when they must return to court to answer the charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and affray.
Duberry had been arrested and questioned on February 18th, after a check on players` mobile phone records, but he too had been bailed. The former Chelsea player answered that bail on Thursday afternoon, when he learnt that he was being formally charged.
It was reported at the time that Duberry did not enter the nightclub but he is believed to have met with Bowyer and Woodgate after the incident is alleged to have taken place.
Reserve team striker Tony Hackworth has also been charged with grievous bodily harm, intent and affray along with Bowyer and Woodgate.
