VAN NISTELROOY FAILED SECOND MEDICAL

EXCLUSIVE
RUUD VAN NISTELROOY has failed a second set of medical tests at Manchester United, although the striker has vowed to return to Old Trafford to complete his move next month.

Sources in Holland have confirmed that van Nistelrooy has flown back to Eindhoven, but will fly back to England next month when his knee is fully recovered.

PSV`s football director, Frank Arnesen said: "Manchester United called me and said that the medical tests were not completed, Ruud will now come back home with club doctor Cees Rein Van den Hoogenband.

"He is still recovering from his injury although there is no doubt he will recover fully, every day counts, and besides it is of no use to for him to stay in Manchester.

Arnesen also pointed out that the transfer is far from being cancelled and said: "On the contrary, I still know for sure that Ruud`s knee will get to 100 percent again, but I can understand that Manchester United don''t want to take a risk with such a big transfer.

"We will look at the medical reports with Van den Hoogenband and then we will consult with Manchester United about what is happening."

Van Nistelrooy is hoping to be fully fit next month and said: "No-one need worry at Old Trafford, I will work on my fitness in Eindhoven and go back to Manchester in perfect shape."
