OMOYINMI TO LEAVE HAMMERS
The 22-year-old striker has not played for The Hammers since coming on as an "illegal" substitute in the Worthington Cup tie with Aston Villa.
When it was revealed that Omoyinmi had already appeared in an earlier round for Gillingham, the game was replayed and West Ham lost.
Omoyinmi was then given loan spells at Scunthorpe and Barnet and has now been told, in the wake of the signing of Frederic Kanoute, that he has no future at Upton Park.
Hammers manager Harry Redknapp denied that the decision was based upon his mistake in the Villa game: "It was a decision based purely on football, which can be harsh. I hope he can go on to play League football somewhere and wish him all the best."
However, Omoyinmi feels that the incident was the major factor in him being transfer listed. "The manager hasn't spoken to me since it happened and it has been made out to be all my fault.
"I just want to put it all behind me because IÇÖm gutted. All I ever wanted to do was play for this club and it has all gone wrong but I still believe in myself as a player and am confident I will find another team."
