BAYERN TO SEAL SFORZA DEAL

BAYERN MUNICH will finally complete the signing of Kaiserslautern‚ÇÖs Ciriaco Sforza before the end of the week after agreeing a fee with The Red Devils.

Swiss international Sforza has been linked with a move to Bayern for a number of weeks and the Bundesliga champions have finally agreed an undisclosed fee with Kaiserslautern for the midfielder or sweeper, who will sign a three-year contract in the next couple of days.

He has already played for Bayern, spending a season there in 1995-96 before moving to Internazionale and then Kaiserslautern.

He follows Willi Sagnol in moving to the Olympic Stadium and could be joined by Christian Worns in the coming days.

However, a move for Deportivo la Coruna midfielder Djalminha has been ruled out by vice-president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who said: "Now we have the players we urgently needed."
