BRANAGAN AGREES TO IPSWICH DEAL

KEITH BRANAGAN has verbally agreed to terms for a new contract with Premiership newcomers Ipswich Town.

Branagan was on loan earlier this season from Bolton Wanderers, following an injury to Town’s other reserve goalkeeper Mike Salmon.

year-old signing comes as first-choice goalkeeper Richard Wright has refused a new deal at Portman Road, with only one year left on his current deal.

Wright, who is currently with the England Euro 2000 squad in Belgium as number three goalkeeper, made key saves in the Division One promotion play-off final to take Ipswich up last month but he wants a move to a bigger club in the Premiership.
