JUVENTUS OFFER TRIAL TO ANDY

JUVENTUS have surprisingly offered West Brom reject Andy McDermott an opportunity to clinch a dream move to Turin.

The Australian full back has been handed a one month trial with Carlo Ancelotti`s Serie A giants, despite being released by Gary Megson at the end of a disappointing campaign for The Baggies.

Juve also have Enzo Maresca on their books, after bringing the young Italian talent back to his homeland, and they made a similarly surprise swoop last year when signing Ronnie O`Brien from Middlesbrough, after Bryan Robson had decided not to offer him a new contract at the Teesside outfit.

"In all honesty, I didn`t expect a reply," agent Barry Silkman told West Brom`s official site. "But they want to take him in July so obviously someone, somewhere, was wrong about him."

Silkman sent a video of the 23-year-old to a number of Italian clubs and Perugia are also interested in landing the defender.
