VALENCIA TARGET ZAHOVIC
VALENCIA have once more declared their interest in Slovenian Euro 2000 star Zlatko Zahovic - as the Liga team aim to replace departing star Claudio Lopez.
Lopez's move to Italian side Lazio has left the Champions League runners-up needing a new striker and despite failing to capture Zahovic in the past, the Primera Liga side may now bid again.
28-year-old Zahovic scored three times in Euro 2000, including a brace against Yugoslavia in Slovenia's opening group game - making himself hot property after it became clear that he wanted to leave his current club Olympiakos.
Zahovic had looked set for Valencia before he moved to the Greek club from FC Porto, but the president of the Portuguese club blocked the move.
