DUGARRY HAD ENGLISH OFFER
Dugarry, who played through the latter rounds of Euro 2000 with a broken nose, only joined the Parc Lescure outfit at the turn of the year after being the subject fans’ criticism at previous club Marseille.
Back in December, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was said to be interested in the 28-year-old, but the French international decided to stay in his native country.
Whether it was Wenger who made the bid is open to debate, but it could have been that he made the approach prior to turning his attention to Dugarry’s international team-mate Robert Pires.
Meanwhile, Bordeaux chairman Jean-Louis Triaud has spoke of the transfer saga involving his star striker Sylvain Wiltord.
Wiltord, who played a key part in France’s Euro 2000 triumph, has been heavily linked with a transfer to Arsenal and Triaud confirmed the possible move.
"It is true, Arsenal are interested in our player and we have known that for a long time now," les Girondins' supremo stated.
"But we have yet to receive any official proposition, so there is no negotiation," Triaud added.
