PANUCCI STILL SET ON MILAN SWITCH

WANT-AWAY Internazionale defender Christian Panucci has not given up hope of securing a move back to former club AC Milan.

Panucci has been seeking a move away from Inter since falling out with coach Marcello Lippi - who he blames for his not being included in Dino Zoff's Italian Euro 2000 squad.

The defender's desire to leave the club has generated interest from a number of clubs throughout Europe, including Arsenal, Roma and Monaco.

Now, according to reports in the Italian press, Chelsea boss Gianluca Vialli has become the latest manager to be linked with a move for the player.

However, Panucci has said that he will not consider any offer from abroad until the Milan switch has been completely ruled out, as he has his heart firmly set on staying in Italy next season.
