FLYNN COMPLETES TRANMERE SWITCH
32-year-old Flynn was one of four players released by Baggies manager Gary Megson at the end of last season, and his availability had generated interest from a number of clubs including newly-promoted Gillingham.
Aldridge has been looking to strengthen his midfield at Prenton Park since losing Alan Mahon to Sporting Lisbon last week, and veteran midfielder Flynn will provide the former Republic of Ireland striker with an influential figure in the centre of the park.
Flynn joins Rovers on a free transfer, which will please Aldridge, who missed out on a transfer fee for promising youngster Mahon when he moved to Portugal, which is not a member of the European Union.
The arrival of Flynn is the latest move in Aldridge's summer rebuild at the Wirral club, having released veteran striker David Kelly and brought in former Everton forward Paul Rideout, Wigan's Stuart Barlow and Ex-Blackburn player Wayne Gill.
