BALLESTEROS IN SAINTS LANGUAGE ROW
SOUTHAMPTON'S move for Tenerife star Sergio Ballesteros has fallen through, with the player's agent claiming that it was because the Spaniard could not speak English.
Ballesteros was expected to complete a £200,000 move to Glenn Hoddle's (pictured) team, but the deal fell through at the last minute.
Ballesteros' Agent Manuel Garcia Quilon angrily slammed the treatment his player had received, adding: "Hoddle previously played in France without knowing how to speak French.
"For him to call off the deal because Sergio can't speak English strikes me as an absolute joke."
