HEANEY HEADS NORTH
DARLINGTON winger Neil Heaney has quit the club after his wages were controversially revealed by chairman George Reynolds last week, and has completed his move to Scottish Premier League outfit Dundee United.
The 27-year-old, who hit five goals last season, was revealed to have earned almost £140,000 in the failed promotion attempt as Reynolds looked to cut his wage bill by asking players to take a wage cut.
However, the former Arsenal and Southampton player has responded by walking out of Feethams, and sealing his move north of the border.
He had been expected to join Danny Griffin in signing for the Tannadice club this summer, and completed the £200,000 switch on Sunday.
